DECIDING ON AN ALBUM

Albums are wonderful.

It’s so easy to avoid planning your album – wedding fatigue is real. If you think an album is a good idea, I recommend contributing towards your album prior to your wedding, as motivation to finish the project, with an “album credit.” Any payment you make in advance is deducted from your final cost, and only the remaining balance is due to confirm the order.

My most commonly requested album is an 8x12” landscape album with a leather or a linen cover. The pages and binding are done in the “layflat” style, meaning the pages open seamlessly from the center binding. This smooth style allows for a number of beautiful design options, some of which are available in the sample images here. Clients may elect to design an 12x12” square album, which is a great option for something bolder, recognizing that your professional images will be in a rectangular format by default, and cropping will occur for most images. Smaller albums sizes, such as the 6x9” album pictured here, are available for family members as gifts, or simply if you prefer a more diminutive style for your own. You may also consider making a “companion album,” which is an identical album to your own.

Pictured below are sample albums highlighting different styles and options; there are plenty more colors, textures, fonts, and colors from which to choose during the design process. If you’ve already committed to an album, please go here to review details and options.
